1) Use LinkedIn
Take time to update your LinkedIn account and connect with professionals in your area. Send personalized messages and ask specific questions about the work of the person you are engaging with.
2) Research
Networking takes time and effort. To effectively network, you need to find out who you should be networking with. Research professionals in your area who encompass your goals. Make a list of people you want to network with and keep it handy.
3) Join organisations and attend video socials
Many organisations are hosting new member Zoom networking events. These may be happy hours, brunches, or more formal events with designated speakers. I recently joined a brunch event with 3PB Barristers in which they discussed Family Law. Either way, those events are a fantastic remote networking opportunity.
